*Side Seams: the stitching that runs down the sides of a t-shirt, from the underarm area to the bottom hem.
In the graphic below, you can see the overall structure of a shirt and each of their respective names. "SS" stands for Side Seams. "CB height" stands for "Center Back" height. "CF height" stands for "Center Front" height.
*Tape: Higher quality clothing almost always use invisible tape specifically made for clothes. It is a general purpose tape used to reinforce seams in the sewing process when manufacturing clothing. Shoulder tape is commonly used as reinforcement along the shoulderline in the sewing process when creating a shirt.
